MeAIMH 21st Annual Training Conference

RESPONDING TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IMPACTED BY TRAUMA

MAY 09, 2008 (8:15 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.)

RAMADA CONFERENCE CENTER
LEWISTON, MAINE

Featuring: Patricia Van Horn PH.D.
Associate Clinical Professor
Child Trauma Research Project
San Francisco General Hospital

Dr. Van Horn will address the impact of trauma on early childhood development and will suggest a variety of interventions, across disciplines that have been shown to be effective in lessening the impact of trauma. The focus will be on understanding the ways in which trauma challenges young children's caregiving environments and on interventions that can restore caregivers to their role as the child's protector and guide.

Participants will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to case examples and possibly to present problems from their own experience for discussion.

Please join us on Friday, May 9th. Conference brochures will be available later in the spring.
